SIDNEY SHELDON’S HERO – TRACY WHITNEY

If you are someone who is a fan of Sidney Sheldon’s books, then the name Tracy Whitney would have immediately brought a spark of recognition in your mind. Tracy Whitney is one of the strongest female characters ever written. Though Tracy Whitney is not someone who is all good, the negative element is what sets her apart and attracts the readers.

Tracy Whitney was first introduced in the book, ‘If Tomorrow Comes’ as the main lead of the book and Tilly Bagshawe went on to write two more books with Tracy in the book titled, ‘Chasing Tomorrow’ and ‘Reckless’.

Though Tracy was a negative character, what made her the hero and not the bad guy was because of her background, that she was just an ordinary soft, young girl. Her experiences with the wrong crowd made her to land her in jail and that days in jail made her develop into a strong, firm girl who is ready to face any hardships. Tracy goes on to become an arts and jewels thief who steals from the rich.

The brilliance she exhibits when she cheats the police, rich people and government all around the world, the risks she takes, the presence of mind she exhibits and escapes tough situation is mind-blowing.

Though she is a ‘thief’, I cannot stop myself from admiring her skills and brain! Sometimes I go like, ‘What am I even thinking?’, but in the end I can’t just refrain from applauding her mentally every time she deceives everybody out there waiting to catch her! She is a big time crook, yes, but there are a few times her good heart peeps out.

The courage she exhibits in front of even the highest ranked government officials is an inspiration to me to not be afraid of anyone in life. The beautiful way in which she falls in love and mends her broken heart is touching. She sets an example of the independent way a woman should carry herself even with their partner.

Tracy Whitney has become one of the phenomenal characters that I have read and one of the few characters that has stayed with me long after I have completed reading the book.

TITBIT THOUGHT #24

‘Change is the only thing that doesn’t change.’ – This is a familiar sentence that we are used to hearing often.

Sometimes when we are in a good place in life, there is a constant fear in mind that a ‘Change’ might come and disrupt what you’ve got.

How many of us have thought,  ‘What if I don’t want to change?’
The truth is, change is going to impose itself on you, whether or not you want it. And the best way to survive in life is to prepare for the change, try to adopt to the changes, or even better make a change by yourself!
Surprise the ‘Change’ in your life by taking the first step towards Change by yourself!

Life will be much more simpler that way!

Titbit Thought #23

They don’t simply say that, ‘Behind everysuccessful man,  there is a woman.’
But the unwritten meaning behind it can be quite revealing.

A woman can make or break anything. She can mould a beautiful statue from clay or she can shatter a statue to mere dust.

And the way she behaves is a reflection of how a man or a woman behaves with her.

If you embrace the inner beauty of a  woman, she can make you do wonders. She can be the pillar that holds a castle up. She can project you to become a great man.

A woman can change your life; but only if she thinks to.

Titbit Thought #22

The war between the heart and the brain is incessant. While most of the time heart wants to give us immediate happiness,  the brain comes in between and speaks about the logic of doing things for lifelong happiness.

Sometimes in this war, we are the ones who gets caught up and ends up wounded.

THE BLAME WITHIN

The war within;

so horrendous that,

it terrifies me

of my future.

The clashes between, the past

trying hard to match,

with the future ‘imaginary castles’

that I am already living in.

I blame the heart, for

it is the culprit that overrode

the brain to make me believe

that unicorns exist.

The blame game starts-

the war waging between

the heart and brain

to decide who is the bane.

Titbit Thought #21

All the unhealed wounds or the wounds that have just started healing of one’s heart needs tender care and that’s when it is weak enough to allow for exploitation. And that’s when we inadvertently allow such persons to prey on our wounds and aggravate it into something more.

Don’t ever keep your wounds out in open for sympathy or expect someone to tend to it because, there are more people to hurt it even more than to cure it.
